Sterling silver Celtic brooch pin

This is a very good quality Celtic brooch made from sterling silver 925. 28mmx24mm. About seven eighths by one and a quarter inches. It is a lovely Irish design based on the spiral designs on the stones at Newgrange Co. Meath, a prehistoric site dating back about 5000 years to pre Christian times. Added to the original spirals is the concept of the Christian trinity and the Shamrock a traditional Irish symbol. This gives an interesting insight into the development of the design.
